Strengthening Our Faith

George Mueller once said “The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith, and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety.” Faith and anxiety cannot coexist. Prayer is the most effective way to defeat anxiety. Give all your anxiety to the Lord. “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you,” ( 1Peter 5:7). The Lord wants to free his children from their burdens.

Faith filled prayer is a a powerful release from anxiety’s grip. Paul tells us “Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God,” (Philippines 4:6). When we pray, and believe in God ‘s Word, faith grows and anxiety disappears.

God’s Word strengthens our faith. Our faith grows from reading, hearing, and speaking the Word. Faith comes from the Word. The Word is both active and alive. “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword…” (Hebrews 4:12). Daily reading and meditating on the Word of God will strengthen our faith immensely; with love, hope, and faith, Carby.
