The Benefits of Total Surrender

What happens when I totally surrender my life to Jesus Christ? I believe that life will dramatically change for the better. With Jesus in complete control there’s nothing I wouldn’t be able to do. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” (Philippians 4:13). The more I trust and lean on Jesus to sustain me the stronger our relationship grows. Jesus is always with me and there isn’t a mountain I can’t conquer with His help.

Jesus’ love gives me a sense of purpose. With a renewed purpose the focus becomes doing the will of God. As opportunities develop God fills me with confidence knowing “that nothing is impossible with God,” (Luke 1:37). God gives me the strength to conquer the obstacles placed in front of me. My renewed purpose in life becomes “Live a life worthy of the Lord, pleasing Him in every good deed, growing in the knowledge of God,” (Colossians 1:10).

Living for Christ helps me in many ways. My thoughts become more positive and my actions become more loving and caring. As God becomes the center of my life, I let go and let God. Serving God is a high priority. Life is a struggle but with God at my side the impossible becomes possible. “If you can believe all things are possible to him who believes,” (Mark 9:23). Trust and belief in God is the foundation for total surrender; love and blessing, Carby,
