Choosing God’s Way

God speaks to us in different ways: through prayer, the Bible, nature, others, His Word; when we listen to God we will know “His way.”God has given us the ability to choose. We have free will. Adam and Eve had free will but they chose “their way,” not “God’s way.” God’s way is always the best way. “But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you still more excellent way,” ( 1Corinthians 12:31).

The way of Jesus includes suffering. He paid the ultimate price at the cross to save us, and to pave the way for our entrance into God’s Kingdom. Suffering is part of God’s plan. We are comforted and strengthened knowing that God promised, “I will never leave you nor forsake you,” (Hebrews 13:5). God’s promises help us to endure our suffering.

What I’ve learned in life is that God’s Way is always the best way. The more I choose “His way,” the better outcomes I have. I delight to do your will O my God, Your Law is within my heart,” (Psalm 49:8). I’ve also learned the more I pray and include God the better decisions I make. Life is hard, choosing “His way” makes it a little easier; love and blessings, Carby
