Following God Wholeheartedly

Caleb is one of my Biblical hero’s. He was one of 12 spies Moses sent out to explore the Promised Land. Only Joshua and Caleb reported accurately on the giant people living there. They believed in the promises of God. “….but I wholeheartedly followed the Lord my God,” (Joshua 14:8). Like Caleb if we also wholeheartedly follow Jesus Christ, we too will be blessed in so many ways.

Caleb was 40 years when he went out as a spy. At age 85, Caleb was amazing. “I am still as strong today as I was in the day Moses sent me; my strength now is as my strength was then, for war, and for going and coming,” (Joshua 14:11). This is a testament that being old can be a good thing; and like Caleb, we too can have longevity when we wholeheartedly follow God.

When we wholeheartedly follow God we pour our heart and soul into glorifying God. It is the Holy Spirit indwelling in us that will give us the strength to Wholeheartedly follow God. “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever. The Spirit of truth….(Joshua 14:16-17). Like Caleb when we focus on God wholeheartedly we too will do amazing things, love and blessings, Carby.
