“BELIEVE“

One of the greatest attributes we can possess to boost up our faith is to believe. When we believe with all our heart, soul, body, and mind that Jesus is the son of God, and that the Bible is the word of God, we will continue to grow in faith. The old saying that if we are not growing we are slowly moving toward our demise, rings true.

Jesus walked on water toward the disciple’s boat that was caught in a wind storm. They were fearful of sinking. Peter asked Jesus to call for him. Peter walked on the water. When he saw the wind he was afraid and began to sink. Jesus reached out his hand and pulled him out of the water. Jesus said to Peter; “Oh ye of little faith, why did you doubt?”

When we have doubts like Peter, that weakens our faith, and we begin to lose confidence in our Lord and Savior. When we lose faith, our trust and love of Jesus is challenged.

Jesus also says “……If anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, or will be done for him.” Mark 11:23

Jesus is showing us that it is our belief in Him that enables us to do things that we could never have done on our own. When we toss out our fears, our doubts, our anxieties, from our conscious worrisome mind, it frees our spiritual center to seek out the mind of Christ. It is in this state that I believe Jesus was talking about in Mark 11:23.

It’s important for us to recognize that our love for God is in proportion to our love and faith in Jesus Christ. This relationship in Christ is strengthened through the acceptance of His death on the cross, and further enhanced by our own cross and suffering.

I hope and pray that we continue to grow and believe strongly in Christ and that our love for Christ grows exponentially as our belief, faith, and trust in Him grows. May you be showered with blessings and love. Godspeed
