From the Dumps to a Positive Outlook

Most people have experienced being down in the dumps. It’s not easy pulling yourself back up without some help. Your true source that gives you the strength to do so is Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” (Philippians 4:13). God is the true source of all our need. “And my God will meet all you need, according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus,” (Philippians 4:19).

Whatever the need to help overcome worry, sadness, anxiety, resentment, forgiveness, etc.; the one who is always present and will answer prayers is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the answer to help overcome depression and other negative emotions. Philippians 4:6 puts it this way “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your requests to God.”

Focusing on what is positive helps take the focus off worry, loneliness, and depression. The Word of God helps refocus thoughts to help eliminate negative thinking. Romans 8:28 tells us “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good for those who are called according to His purpose.” This is a very comforting verse that gives Christians hope that no matter your circumstances our suffering glorifies God. Love and blesses, Carby.
