How Our Words Impact Us and Others

Living in today’s world is demanding. At times we feel exhausted and drained of our energy and vitality. The best way to lift our spirits and increase our energy is to rejuvenate our life in God. By declaring in thought and word the Word of God, our energy and vitality quickly returns. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” (Philippians 4:13).

Our thoughts and words dictate our body response and how we feel. If I say “I bless my heart and feel it pulsating with Devine life, and each breath I take is bringing me into alignment with God’s Spirit.” I should feel great. This affirmation strengthens us mightily. Our faith in Jesus to heal us and to strengthen us makes it a reality. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers,” (3John 1:2).

We can choose to speak health affirming words to our bodies or unwittingly speak illness to our bodies.“ I think I’m catching a cold, I feel lousy, I wish I had more energy, etc. Our subconscious mind will process the commands we speak. The Bible admonishes us to watch our tongue. “Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity,” (Proverbs 21:23). My hope is that we speak softly and lovingly to ourselves and others; love and blessings, Carby.
