If God is everywhere, and he is, why is it so difficult to remain in His presence? Life is full of distractions, and makes it difficult to keep our focus on Jesus. “You should seek God in the hope that you might feel after him and find him. Yet he is not far from each one of us, for in God we live and move and have our being,” (Acts 17: 27-28). Being in God’s presence gives us the inner peace we need to rest in the comfort of God’s loving arms.
God’s presence fills us with a peace that surpasses all of the world’s distractions that hinder us from sharing in the warmth of God’s love. As we move forward we are better equipped to fulfill Jesus’ command: Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you,” ( John 20:21). It is up to us to share our story with others, our love for Jesus, and how we found Him.
The closer we get to Jesus the more loving and accepting we become of others, especially those who want to harm us. God is love and followers of Jesus must also be love; “ whoever does not love does not know God. Because God is love,” (1John 4:8). The more love we have in our heart, the less we dwell on resentments, unforgiving, bitterness, and other destructive thoughts. Seeking God’s Presence softens our heart and fills it with love. May we all share in God’s peace and love; love and blessings to all, Carby.
