Living a Warrior Lifestyle

In today’s world we face opposition and challenge everywhere. There is hate and evil all around. How can we cope in this environment? The answer is in God Almighty. We must become warriors and fight God’s war. If we fight battles in God’s name because it is God’s war, we cannot lose. “Many fell dead, because the war was God’s,” (1 Chronicles 5:22). As warriors in God’s army, God is our Captain and we will be victorious.

Our weapons include the “Armor of God: the Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Righteousness, Shoes of the Gospel of Truth, Shield of Faith, Helmet of Salvation, the Sword of the Spirit: the Word of God,” (Ephesians 6:10-18). Our confidence must rest in the Lord, our success lies in the fact that this is God’s war. God insures that we will be victorious. “You O Lord are a shield for me,” (Psalm 3:3).

If God cannot be conquered we should not fear defeat. Life is hard but as warriors for God we must “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you,” ( Luke 6: 27-28), As hard as this is it is God’s power working through us that helps us fight God’s war. God’s love and peace gives us the faith and courage needed to fight the good fight; love and blessings, Carby.
