God’s grace is an amazing thing. In a world where we are often judged critically by others who don’t even know us; it’s reassuring to know that grace is God’s favor that brings us blessings of joy and love. “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble,” ( James 4:6). We cannot earn grace. It is a gift freely given by God. It’s through humility that God’s grace will freely flow to us.
God gives graces of: faith, His promises, courage, boldness, forgiveness, tenderness, love, and more. Peter tells us to “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior,” (2Peter 3:18). The closer we get to God the more joy and love we experience; And His promise of eternal life. Someone once said The absence of Christ is hell, but the presence of Jesus is heaven.” Living in God’s grace is heaven on earth.
Grace is one of God’s miracle gifts that he gives us as we grow in the knowledge of God. The more we learn about God’s love, and the love Jesus has for us the more we thirst for His love. “As the deer pants for the water brooks,” (Psalm 42:1). We pant for deep drinks of his love.
