Being in the Presence of God

Our Lord and Savior desire that we seek him out. His presence is everywhere; and it only takes a minute to connect with Jesus. Being with Jesus is easy. His love and presence is real. God’s Word is real. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God,” (John 1:1). We are in the presence of God each time we read or hear the Word of God (Bible).

The more time we spend with Jesus in prayer, meditation, Bible reading, church, retreats, alone time in walks, etc., the closer we are to Jesus’ presence. We can almost feel His presence. The Bible tells us that Jesus is the source of joy. “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full,” (John 15:11).

When we are in the presence of God we are full of joy and love. “…And even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,” (1Peter 1:8). Being in God’s presence is synonymous with heartfelt joy. His presence brings the joy of Jesus into our hearts. My hope and prayer is that we seek out God’s presence; love and blessings, Carby
