Visualizing the Heart of Jesus

God shows us through his word that like Abraham we too have the ability to visual God’s promises. In Genesis we are told that Abraham was given a great vision. “Look up at the heavens and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your off-spring be,” (Genesis 16:5). Abraham went on to be the father of a great nation.

God through his word has opened up opportunities for us to develop visual images of the many stories, parables, and social interactions revealed in the Bible. Jesus said unto him “Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,” (Matthew 22:37). I believe one way to honor and glorify God is to meditate on the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends,” ( John 15:13). The heart of Jesus is compassionate, loving, and merciful. Jesus sacrificed his life and blood for us on the cross. There is no better way to praise, love, and honor God than to meditate on the love and bigness of his heart. This will strengthen our faith and love of God; filling our hearts with his grace and mercy. This is my hope and prayer; Godspeed. Carby.
