Liberty and Freedom in Christ

As believers in Christ we are free to claim any of the promises in scripture; it only takes a strong belief and faith in the word of God. Our God is faithful and wants to meet our need. If depressed speak the encouraging words of 1 Peter 1:8 “….you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.” Hebrews 10:23 says “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.”

…..The joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). When we praise and worship God with our love, we are strengthened and our weakness is perfected in God. The power that comes from the Word of God is unbelievable. “For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edge sword” (Hebrews 4:2). God’s word can liberate us from the hardships we might face. Speaking the Word of God penetrates our heart and mind, and frees us from the pain we are feeling.

Meditating on the Word of God keeps is close to God. Staying focused on God takes our mind off of us. We have a liberating God. Jesus’ death on the cross has freed us from sin, and his blood helps us to heal, “….by his stripes we are healed,” (Isaiah 53:5). Choosing Christ helps us to have the right mindset, and we must believe that “Nothing is impossible with God,” (Luke 1:37). My hope and prayer is that we seek the freedom that only Jesus Christ can give, love and blessings.
