“The light of God surrounds us; the love of God enfolds us; the power of God protects us; the presence of God watches over us ; Wherever we are God is!” This is one of the my favorite prayers. It was written by James Dillet Freeman during WW2. God’s presence, and His protection, surrounds us. He is a shield to all who love Him.
It’s comforting to know God’s presence and protection is always with us. “You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word,” (Psalm 119:114). We have an amazing God! He is ready to help us whenever we call on Him. Our faith in God is strengthened knowing that the word of God is true, and contains true facts, instructions to obey, and promises to receive. “ God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble,” (Psalm 46:1).
God’s presence is always with us. He will never abandon us. If we feel isolated and alone, personalize and pray the following: “The light of God surrounds me; the love of God enfolds me; the presence of God watches over me; wherever I am God is!
