Christians are continually renewing their minds. Romans 12:2 says “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” We desire to be better followers of Jesus. The more we can begin thinking like Jesus the better we can follow in Christ’s footsteps. To think like Christ our mind needs to become more like the mind of Christ.
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God…..took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men, “ (Philippians 2:5-7). We too are God’s servants and the more we begin thinking and acting like Jesus the more we honor God. “For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace,” (Romans 8:6).
To think like Christ, the Spirit within us will guide us. “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind,” (Ephesians 4:23). Jesus wants us to think like him; our decisions, our relationships, our communication with others, our prayers, etc., will have more impact on those we serve. My hope and prayer is that our thoughts become more Christ like; love and blessings, Carby.
