Enhancing Your Prayer Life

With the world in a downward spiral, and the assault on our rights, we need God more than ever. The Bible is clear: God answers prayer. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours,” (Mark 11:24, ESV). God answers our prayers, and it is a powerful way to communicate with our Lord.

Everyone’s time is precious, and it costs us nothing to pause throughout the day and offer a prayer to God. There is no better way to honor our Lord than to shoot Him a prayer. If you want to enhance your prayers, meditate. Yes, it does take more time, but what better way to honor God. Meditation puts your prayer on steroids, and God loves the extra time and attention you give Him. “I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways,” (Psalm 119:15, ESV).

Meditating on a scripture verse is a beautiful way to please the Lord. The Bible tells us to keep the word of God close to our heart. When we meditate on scripture we are doing exactly that. “Be still and know that I Am God,” (Psalm 46:10). Meditation requires stillness. In stillness you sense God’s presence. Why not give meditation a try? Love and blessing: Carby.
