Growing in Love

In America today hatred is flourishing. The increase in violence, robberies, destruction of property, and taking of human life is at the highest levels. The solution is clear. We need to replace hate with love. Love is a dominate theme throughout the Bible. In Proverbs we are told “Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs,” (Proverbs 10:12).

If we agree that love is the answer, and scripture tells us to love our enemies, then the answer is clear. We must “Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins,” (1 Peter 4:8). Loving our enemies is not easy, but we are mandated to do so. If each God loving individual did this, we would gradually become a more loving and peaceful country.

“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony,” (Colossians 3:14). We are also told “Let all that you do be done in love,” ( 1Corinthians 16:4). I believe if most Americans choose love over hate we can get back our country. My hope and prayer is that God loving Christians unite in love, love and blessings, Carby.
