Growing in Grace

As Christians we grow closer to the heart of Jesus Christ by continuously growing in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, “But grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2Peter 3:18). I find it helps to focus often during the day on Bible verses that create visual images of Jesus Christ in my mind. In that moment I believe I’m growing in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. If you try this you might agree.

We cannot earn grace as hard as we might try. “The Lord will give grace,” (Psalm 84:1). Our good works won’t earn grace. Grace is freely given to us because God loves us so much, and there’s nothing He won’t do for us. “As the dear pants for the water brooks,” (Psalm 42:1). We too will long for deep drinks of His love. Nothing else can satisfy like the love the Father has for all His children. We just need to surrender completely to our Heavenly Father.

We are so blessed that we are loved by our Heavenly Father. He gave us His own Son Jesus Christ as a human sacrifice for us. Jesus is the only way to eternal life. Jesus is love. If you love Jesus you love life, and you will have more love in you life. This is the secret. I pray that each of us will have more love in our life. Love and blessing to all. Carby
