If you don’t mind, it does matter. Our mind is phenomenal, and our body responds to the commands and verbal cues it receives. We have to be careful and aware of how we talk. “I think I’m catching a cold.” Your body responds to what it hears, and before you know it you have a cold. In the Gospel of Matthew “Jesus said to the centurion Go! It will be done just as you believed it would” (Matthew 8:13). The centurion had faith in Jesus and believed his servant would be healed.
Faith and believing that the words you speak influence your mind, body, soul, and heart will keep you from using words that can bring you and others harm. In Genesis God used words to create the Universe. Then God said “Let there be light,” and there was light (Genesis 1:3). As humans one of our greatest gifts is to create. Our creative ability varies among individuals. Our dreams and imagination fuel our creativity.
Our minds are tremendously powerful. I think of Jacob in Genesis and how he used his creative ability to increase the number of goats and sheep in his possession. This made him an extremely wealthy man. Our imagination and creativity is limited only by our thinking. Whatever you do Think BIG! Our limitations are self- imposed. My prayer is that we use our creative ability to improve our lives. Blessings and love to all, Carby.
