Living in the Present

Life is a challenge, but a gift from God. How we live our life is up to us. God wants the best for us, and when we seek His will it will be. Living our best life honors God. The more we live in the present the stronger our connection to God will be. The Bible says: “Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes” (James 4:14).

When we understand that out time here on earth is but a fleeting moment, it’s important to make every day count. We glorify God when we do our very best, with the hope of spending eternity with our Creator. Living in the present allows us to focus more on Jesus. We are not overwhelmed by our past and we are not overly absorbed with our future. I’m reminded of the Bible verse, “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Psalm 16:11).

Staying connected with Jesus can only happen in the present. Living in the present is vital. Jesus can bring us joy, and the thought of having eternal joy with our Lord and Savior is the fulfillment of a life well lived. My hope and prayer is that we live a joyful life in the presence of our Lord. Love and blessing to all, Carby.
