Faith is one of the strongest human virtues available to us all. It’s important to have a source to turn to when you are losing your faith. It’s easy to lose faith when we place to much reliance on the wrong thing or person. Can people let us down? Yes, that hurts and begins to let doubt creep in and our faith in people begins to lesson. Not completely, but we are definitely wounded.
Fear also has a way to paralyze our thought process, where we are so emotionally numb that we can’t think straight. Fear can grab a hold of a person and leave them debilitated to the point where they can’t move at all, they are totally frozen. This is a tremendous handicap because a person living in fear can’t even think straight. Of course this is not how most of us respond to fear. This is a dramatic example of an extreme case, although it happens to individuals who have had a very traumatic event in their lives.
The point is that fear and it’s brother doubt can stop an optimistic, positive person dead in their tracks. So how can we nip fear and doubt in the bud? The best thing is to catch yourself when experiencing either one of these emotions, and change course immediately. So how would you do that?
We must have a go to a solution that will work for you every single time. It doesn’t matter what circumstance you find yourself in, you will have the confidence that is guaranteed to work. What do you think is the answer to every ailment that impacts our lives? I’ll give you a hint, it is the opposite of hate. The solution is LOVE. We must love one another, but above all, we must love GOD. “There is no fear in love, but perfect love cast out fear.” (1 John 4:18)
If you think about it, it makes perfect sense. God and Jesus are the source of LOVE. Love conquers all. That includes fear and doubt. When you put your faith in God, even when you lose your faith, God will never lose His faith in you. You can take that to the bank. God’s faith in us never diminishes, if anything it grows stronger as our faith weakens. God doesn’t want you to have any doubt, when you place your faith and trust in Him there is no room for doubt.
It takes courage to have faith in something and someone we can’t visually see. To believe in God takes faith and courage, and this will help you get rid of all fear and doubt you may experience. But, you must believe that God will help you overcome all your fears. God is the perfect solution to whatever ails you.
The bottom line is to put our faith and trust in someone that will never let you down. Someone, who will not disappoint you or break your heart. Who is the object and focus of your faith? For me it’s simple, I trust and love God with all my heart. He gives me strength and courage when I am weak.
