I believe the older I get my focus on love continually gains A new perspective. What I mean by this is when I was much younger my love was given primarily to my wife and my children. I tried to also be loving, and kind to other family members and friends, and for the most part I believe I was able to do that.
Now that I’m older and I hope a little wiser I believe I’m more generous in giving my love away. I’m growing especially fond of all those suffering from serious diseases. Until one has walked in the shoes of someone who is suffering can a person truly relate. Maybe its because I know what they are experiencing based on my similar experience. I believe love for them and for myself is never in short supply.
Three years ago I wrote a poem I hadn’t seen in quite sometime. I was looking at my wife’s copy of The One-Minute Prisoner when I ran across my poem Love is a Powerful Force. It really got my attention. This time after reading it I got even a deeper meaning from it.
Love is a Powerful Force
Love truly is a healing force. When things get tough as they most surely will, it’s nice to know that we have a Father above who truly loves us. This enduring love will guide and lead us through our deepest valleys.
Love is such a a powerful force that it gives us strength when we think we have none. Holding a small child tenderly in our arms gives us such a tender loving feeling in our heart of hearts. As soon as we stop holding that small child, we immediately feel an emptiness inside.
Love doesn’t cost anything, but when we stop loving we hurt ourselves in so many ways. The more we love the better we will feel. Love can hurt when taken away, or someone dear to us stops loving us. That is the pain and risk that we each share when we give our love to someone we deeply care for.
But the rewards far outweigh the hurts we will feel from time to time. Love is truly a powerful emotion that will have much more positive effects then we could ever imagine. Be generous with your love. Love freely, and you will be truly amazed at the effect it will have on your life.
Like the poem says love is such a powerful force. It gives us life and energy when we are feeling down and sad. Our Lord is our best source for complete and unconditional love. I do believe the more love we have for ourselves and others the more love will continually fill our tanks. Love is a healing agent and it works like a balm to sooth our aches and pains. Love is the answer to many of our problems. Please give your love to everyone you meet. You will be blessed beyond belief. With love and blessings, Carbie out.
