Clear Thinking Reduces Stress

Our creative mind and imagination is the most powerful and effective weapon we possess. Our ability to create is the closest we will get to the Creator of the Universe. If you believe like I do that the creator of the Universe is God and that man is His greatest creation and made in His image it makes us realize how special and unique we are.

Our mind is unbelievable and extremely powerful in its capabilities and potential. However, most of us use only about twenty percent of our potential. Our subconscious mind when called upon can enhance our potential tremendously. As we age it’s important to exercise our mental, physical, and spiritual well being, so that we stay alert in all areas of living.

Scripture tells us in Proverbs 23:7 As he thinketh in his heart so is he.” Using our heart as the central focus of our thoughts and thinking we are guided by the spirit within us, and our thoughts become crystal clear. This clarity of thought is extremely important for decision making and making better choices. An engaged heart is fundamental to the quality of life.

Equally important to our quality of life is to have the right spirit within us. Again we can draw on scripture, 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Hence if our focus is on love, peace, and Jesus, these are power thoughts that will cast out fear, guilt, doubt, and other limiting thoughts.

It’s important to keep our focus where our thinking and thoughts are serving you in a positive affirming way. To generate more calm and peace in our life it helps if we can take a short break every now and then just to relax for a short minute. Just a short one or two minute meditation, this will help us overcome any work stress or anxiety we may feel. Scripture would tell us to “Be Still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46-10

The bottom line is we have plenty of stress in our lives and good stress management and clarity of thought equates to staying mentally, physically, and spiritually healthy. In the long run this will benefit us all. Until the next time, Godspeed, Carbie out.
