In previous writings I’ve written about the power of fear and how it can can consume us if we let it. We also looked at one of the most powerful emotions on the planet, LOVE. In this piece I want to demonstrate through powerful scripture verses that love will overpower fear every time when you learn how to control your thoughts. Our thoughts are the key to almost all our actions and behaviors.
The first Bible verse I’ll highlight is “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear.” (1 John 4:18). In other words we need to keep making love a dominate force in our lives. We do this by continually reminding ourselves to choose love over hate. This sounds easy but we experience so many traps throughout our day that it is easy to lose focus. To help you stay focused you need to keep your focus on the Creator of the universe and everything in existence. When we do this our love will grow. Our Creator is the ultimate definition of love.
He loved you and me so I much that He sent His only son Jesus to show us how to truly love one another, how to love ourselves, and how to love his Father who sent him to us. The ultimate sacrifice is to lay down your life for your friends, so that they may live. Jesus did that for us at the cross.
I know that for many of you who do not believe in God, All this must sound outrageous. But I promise if you do the research on the life of Christ on your I Phone, laptop, or whatever, you might just change your mind, and it just might save your life for all eternity.
Check it out and I know you will be impressed with the evidence you find supporting the life of Christ, and what He accomplished in 33 short years, ( only 3 years of ministry to the poor, sinners, the sick, and those considered the outcasts of society). I’m truly not trying to change anyone’s beliefs or truths, in actuality no one can do that except the Holy Spirit who is within you.
But if you ever wonder where that nudging is coming from when you are sensing that something just doesn’t quite seem right it just might be that pesky little spirit contained within your soul. Listen to it, it will never lead you astray, unlike many motivated salesmen type individuals that are constantly trying to lead you astray.
But for anyone who like me have been asking the big questions that there must be more to life then our present existence here on earth? If you sense even a little that there must be more to our present existence in my opinion you are on the right track. Don’t be afraid to explore all your options.
What makes life such a big mystery is that “No one has ever seen God; but if you love one another; God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.” (1 John 4:12). This is why love is such a powerful force. We can see God’s spirit in others, in ourselves, and even sense His Spirit in nature, in a multitude of many things. It’s truly amazing. Isn’t it.
One last verse just to give you food for thought. “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us God is love, whoever lives in love, lives in God, whoever lives in love, lives in God, and God in him.” (1 John 4:16)
So you see if you are a loving person, since God is love, you are in God, and He is in you whether you know it or not. That is truly food for thought, think about that. Until the next time Godspeed, Carbie out.
