Eliminate Negative Thoughts

In times like these and what we have been living through the past eight months it’s hard to keep a positive attitude day in and day out. There will be times of depression, negative thoughts, and doubt. At moments like this we must continue to stay strong in faith knowing that this is only a temporary blip during a person’s lifetime. This Covid-19 Pandemic will all be over once it runs its course. Because prayer is so powerful, and so many people have prayed so heartfully we will eventually defeat this horrendous pandemic.

Of course it goes without saying that the more people that take this pandemic seriously and use the necessary precautions to keep themselves and others safe the better our chances will be to reduce and survive Covid-19. I believe it’s our duty to protect the most vulnerable. The survival rate is very good for the majority of the population around 99.5% or better. The death rate among the elderly with existing pre-conditions not so good. So until we get beyond Covid-19, we must all act responsibly to protect the weakest members of society. We will get through this!

Our attitude and emotions can be of tremendous help. We have to make a conscious effort to monitor our thought. We can’t let our thoughts and emotions work against us. If we dwell on the negative that surrounds us it will reflect on our emotions and we could easily fall victim to depression. We must learn to snap out of it immediately.

As quickly as possible we should shift our thoughts and emotions to a much more positive attitude. Do something silly right away, make yourself laugh, get your body moving, jump up and down, whatever it takes. Positive chemicals are released from your brain (endorphins) that will help change your sate to a much more positive state.

This can be done quickly if you are aware of your thoughts. We must learn to stand guard over any negative thoughts, and to do whatever it takes to eliminate them. This all sounds to easy, but until you actually start practicing this quick change of state behavior, and see for yourself that it works, then you will have found another tool to add to your tool box, and you will be well on your way to managing any negative thoughts that you might have.
