As we move into our sixth month of Covid-19 we must remain strong. With news going on nearly 24-7, about the pandemic, and now about the pros and cons of reopening our schools it’s quite normal for our stress level to rise. Staying positive with many negative reports surrounding us is one of our biggest challenges each day. We must prevail, and stay strong no matter what.
I will share with you my source strength. It works for me, and maybe, just maybe it might work for you if you are willing to give it a shot. As great as the USA is we need to remind ourselves that it was our independence, our breaking away from the British that our country was founded on religious freedom, and we received the Lords blessing in the start-up of the greatest country on earth.
We have remained a strong country until now. We have fallen away from many of the principles that made us strong. We have been gradually eroding these founding principles of love, honor, respect, dignity, unity, religious freedom, tolerance, and the most important one “do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.”
Part of staying strong and stress free is to rely on someone stronger than you or me. We need to rely on a higher power. It’s our high power that will give us the strength, the guidance we will need to sustain us over the next several months, and possibly even years. We just don’t know about all this uncertainty, and what it will take to sustain us over this period. All I can tell you is once you put your trust in your higher power, and for me it’s Jesus Christ, a huge burden is lifted off you shoulders, and the amount of stress you now feel has totally diminished. Why is that?
There in lies the secret. When we pray for help, guidance, call it what you will, you have surrendered your will to the will of your higher power, who has always been in control, whether you have realized it or not. The magic is now you are letting Him call the shots, which he was doing all along. But by surrendering, you are now in alignment with his will, therein lies your renewed power. You are no longer going it alone, with your creator at your side, your stress level drops, your faith in yourself, and in the world is multiplied ten-fold.
There you have it. This is my secret for renewed strength, a stronger faith in myself, my fellow man, and most of all faith in the Almighty Creator. I know without a doubt that everything will be alright in the end. We need to stay strong and keep the faith. The end for this Covid-19 pandemic is still largely unknown, but I totally believe that God has this under control, and that eventually everything will work out for the good.
